The King of the Hidden Valley !

The Hidden Valley, as the name suggests, is a secret spot away from tracks, located about 20 km North-West of Ndutu. It is necessary to go off track to reach it.

It consists of a hollow in the ground that, during the rainy season, fills up with water and becomes an animal-attracting water hole.

Herbivores come here to drink, while predators stalk them, waiting for the right moment to jump them. It is possible to catch sight of big clans of hyenas splashing around in the mud around the basin.

This is a very delicate place from the environmental point of view, and access to it is often forbidden.
