Eternal Sunrise

I had a wonderful time creating the music and video for this piece, combining one of my favorite photographs with machine learning imagery, and a new song I made with my baritone guitar!

The background imagery is created from hundreds of my own sunrise and sunset photographs fed through an ML algorithm. I get little hits of nostalgia from different eras of my life as I watch it evolve through latent space. It's almost like watching a timelapse of my favorite evenings.

The original still photo was taken from the top of Bishop's Peak in San Luis Obispo, California and is available as an edition of 15 on my Hic Et Nunc: https://www.hicetnunc.xyz/patricklawler

Thank you to my adventure partners/photo subjects Henry and Sammy-Jo for waking up at 4am to hike up this mountain with me to get the shot!
