Courtney was a mess and also a true professional. I didn’t always enjoy her madness, but always respected her as a person and artist, especially as I could tell Kurt truly loved her.

For this shoot, she was four hours late (the band was perfectly on time), but when she did finally show up it was all action. First thing pointed at a light and said it had to be changed out - and she was right of course.
