Silhouettes and Stars

The perfect scene just after sunset. A lone tree silhouetted under the glistening Milky Way skies with the hint of the sun disappearing below the horizon. The amazing zodiacal light makes this tree come to life while showing off its intricate skeleton, almost fractal, reminiscent of neurons or the network of blood vessels.

This is a single shot taken in nautical twilight using a 14-30mm F4. It's amazing how much detail can be pulled from such a lens at night.
