“My skin absorbs the sun rays and my hair defies gravity. You can’t tell me i’m not magical, royalty, and filled with melanin beauty. Dipped in chocolate, bronzed in elegance, enameled with grace, toasted with beauty. My lord, she’s a black woman.”

Let this piece serve as a reminder that your irrespective of your skin, your existence is a glorious symbol of national greatness and you should be proud for being unapologetically you because, you're valid.

I wanted to create this renaissance piece in reference to the Mona Lisa, but with a depiction of a black woman to serve as a reminder that you can unapologetic, be a woman of color, be powerful ,BLACK, and worthy of receiving your flowers of royalty and celebrated while you're alive.
