Steam Bison

Drawn by hand. In this illustration I have combined the steam engine with the bison in a 19th century style.

Late 19th century the bison population (with around 40 million at it’s peak) was almost driven to extinction with 300 bisons left. One of the largest drivers was the expansion of the Steam Train to the west of North America. Herds of Bisons were even shot as game from trains as they drove by.
