My emotions always seem to teeter on hope and fear. Hope kept me pushing forward during some of my darkest moments when it felt I'd never see the light of another day. And fear is always lurking underneath my skin, paralyzing and reminding me that taking a chance on relationships, photography, and on storm chasing is a huge risk. On this summer afternoon in Arizona, I intended to stay home seeing very little prospects of capturing anything of significance. But I pushed through my doubt and drove towards a dying storm near Arivaca. I arrived too late for the main show but found out that the best was saved for last. These lightning "crawlers" were perfectly spaced when I was shooting this magenta toned rainbow near sunset. This is a single shot and not a composite. 10% of the sale will go to the Southern Arizona Gender Alliance which advocates and promotes justice for Arizona's trans, non-binary, and gender-creative people.
