NeoEarth

This image is real apart from the glow of the lantern that was added in post-processing. Before the pandemic, I was working on using the real world to create my surreal images. I was hoping to build sets and sculptures and travel around the world and take those to different locations and use minimal post-processing. As the pandemic started and I couldn't live in Manhattan, New York, where I live I started exploring new opportunities to create.

This world is Earth or NeoEarth. What happened to the Earth when my main character woke up. Covered in dust, no one living. My character (a self-portrait) is exploring what happened to the world and not being able to find an answer goes on a journey to discover different worlds and seeking answers and hopes to find where everyone went.

10% of sales will be donated to Backpacks For The Street, the NGO that helps homeless people in New York and I volunteer with.
