What you're looking at is not a white solid, but a photograph I made of a blank canvas now hanging in my studio in downtown Los Angeles, dated September 26th and signed on the back.
You may wonder why my first NFT is not from a scene I've directed or a portrait I've made. This blank canvas hangs in my studio to always remind me of the power of emptiness, and the will to start anew and put a piece of my soul into each and every artwork I create, be it a moving or a still image.
And so in the virtual world, as in the real, my very first NFT will always be there as a reminder of the same ethos that drives my artistic journey, and a blank start, a genesis for what is yet to come
By collecting this NFT, you're not only collecting a living milestone in my career, but you're also invited to my studio in LA to examine the physical signed canvas, hanging on the wall. You're also invited to pose for a portrait in front of my lens, and to spend a day on set of my upcoming movie.
