Visual logic makes appeals to the eyes first, the mind second, correct?
There was a moment in time (60s into 70s) when "dematerialization" was "the thing to do." Was it the hip thing to do, or was there a common (tacit) cultural understanding that the lived culture itself needed dematerialization as means of purification, sublimation, (e)valuation—how earnest were these pretenses to freedom?
Apart from valuation, NFTart culture has so far placed emphasis on two things: immediate visuals; the smart contract. Immediate visuals speak for themselves (to a large extent (context always has some say)). The smart contract could BE the stuff NFTart's made of—its avant-garde (so to speak) chops. A cleverly written smart contract becomes the immaterial made material—mutability and permanence do a dance as they might in the high(-minded) mind of the 60s/70s above-mentioned. Subtle sublime, potentially subliminal.
This small png ("test" 3/6) is potentially unresolved, materially speaking.
