I awoke at 2am the morning of this image to hike 6.5 miles over 3000 feet of gain to hopefully catch a glimpse of the morning sunlight pierce through the clouds and strike the towers of Torres de Paine. I more or less ran up the trail after 8 days hiking the O-Trek Circuit, and was able to setup along the boulder fields with 30 minutes to spare. Cold winds flooded my outcropping and with shaking hands and chattering teeth the most incredible morning light appeared for but a minute. Showering the far right towers with a flaming red light that elevated the view beyond comparison.
