Almost a year into my full-time art journey, it felt like it was finally re-explore a Travis Scott inspired piece with florals with all the skills I've developed with composition and colour.
I used cactus flowers for the piece to pay homage to Scott's alias, and I loved how the red accented the green in his shirt. The floral, smoke, and jewelry details took a lot of concentration, and I felt like I was going to lose my vision while doing all the finishing touches. But was it worth it? Hell yeah.
His hand is one of my favorite moments in the piece. Whenever I paint hands masking the flowers that mask the face, I get super excited. There are so many interesting shapes that dance in such a concentrated focal point and to me, that is exquisitely beautiful!
