Our minds started replacing real objects with their digital copies. In this project I try to depict the experience of digitization. While the pictures look like abstract paintings, in reality they’re shots of everyday objects that were projected onto a tablet, then photographed with a camera; the process was repeated 8 times, turning the original object into its digital shade, its simulacrum, a reflection of the world that awaits us. _ The photo depicts a house nightstand. It usually doesn't play a huge part in our lives; however, now that everyone's trapped in lockdown and all the windows are illuminated, its light repels dark and cold away from people and, like the true light or the holy fire, it symbolizes resurrection. There's black dots in the shot that attempt to surround the nightstand but burn away in its shine; there's also blue coldness that can't get to the heat source. The picture feels tense; while inspecting it, the viewer can almost put themselves in a battle.
