Our minds started replacing real objects with their digital copies. In this project I try to depict the experience of digitization. While the pictures look like abstract paintings, in reality they’re shots of everyday objects that were projected onto a tablet, then photographed with a camera; the process was repeated 8 times, turning the original object into its digital shade, its simulacrum, a reflection of the world that awaits us.
Vertical lines of an acidic yellow - the color of emojis - and an electrically blue background, much like that of the default Windows 95 background, unite two of the key moments digitization has brought into our lives.
