UPLOADED is a collaboration between Uberduck, JIMMY & B La B. Uberduck is a creative tool made by Zach Wener, Will Luer, and Sam Koelle in 2020. Uberduck uses artificial intelligence and neural speech synthesis to enable new modes of expressive energy by augmenting human creativity. Uberduck achieves this through interaction with generative machine learning models.

In May 2021, JIMMY approached Uberduck with an idea to upload Atlanta rapper, B La B, into a text-to-speech model. Feeling excited and inspired, JIMMY began to implement the synthesized output into music.

UPLOADED features images created using VQGAN-CLIP. Text prompts and warp transforms are used to direct the images. Uberduck’s proprietary technology uses text-to-speech as a mechanism to create a synthetic version of B La B’s vocals.
