Call of Nature

For nature lovers, the desire to be out in the wild is everlasting. While we may live in the cities or the suburbs, we feel the most at home in the great outdoors. A heavy backpack slung over our shoulders, tired and dirty, exploring and taking in the sights of the wild is our idea of a perfect day. Whether that be trekking across glaciers, climbing mountains, traversing forests, or walking across the desert, the call of nature never ceases. When Alex pitched that tent overlooking the Chicago cityscape, he heard the call. Using Alex Qian’s iconic image, “Staycation,” which tells the story of having to live in the city but longing to be outside, this animation brings that desire to be out in the wild to reality. Answer the call and be transported from Chicago to Mount Rainer for a night in the mountains, an experience every nature lover would love to dream about during their day-to-day lives.
