We began by setting up a camera in different places that felt cinematic to us – a library, a supermarket, a mountain top, a bowling alley, a farm. Without changing anything or directing anyone in the scene, we shot single-take footage each time, welcoming the experimental flavor of the result and enjoying taking the chance that anything could happen. The unpredictable and unplanned occurrences that took place (reactions of people, passing of cars, and so on) affected the film and the dancing itself.
