I had my first serious relationship at the age of 18. I was with a man two years older than me. After we first met at his apartment, I never really left the place. In fact, I was asked to move in. Of course, I said yes (no more living with parents!) Anyway, I had my heart broken last year by the same man who said he was going to marry me. I have made countless artworks about my heartbreak, and they have all greatly helped me to heal. I feel as though this artwork is like the final artwork i'm going to make about my ex. I am genuinely grateful to have had my heart broken. Not only were we not a good match, but i was able to turn my pain into literal works. So ex boyfriend, I know you will never read this, but thank you for breaking my heart.
