It was the morning of September 11th, 2001. I had just walked into the university's lunchroom to get breakfast. And there I saw it, on a 20' projector, a plane had just crashed into one of the World Trade towers. No one was eating but standing up, looking at the screen. Then, minutes later, we saw the second plane hit. At the time, I was an EMT, and all I could think about was running off to help. What was a 40 minutes drive took over 5 hours to reach anywhere close to the Lincoln Tunnel. Everything was on lockdown, and there was no way for me to get over across the Hudson River. I drove and found a small park where I was able to see NYC. Here this picture was taken. My heart goes out to everyone, including friends who had loved ones there on that day.
Proceeds from this project will be donated to keep helping those who risk their lives for us every single day.
