In the spring this moss laden falls glows a vibrant green in the mist. In the winter all is silent except the echo of the falling water. For three hours now the snow has fallen, blanketing an invisible path, and the decent to frozen tranquility is slick and steep. My boot imprints the snow at the riverbank, the water lapping it from white to dark in a frosty recoil. Looking up, the snowflakes meet the mist and my face chills with frosty dew. My limbs are still with cold, senses heightened, and the present moment filled with a peace of life.
