The idea was simple. How far can one push the limits of long (single exposure) photography? What images can be painted during those short moments of fireworks?
Angels and Demon was a frame captured on July 4th, 2021 of the Washington DC fireworks. Planted squarely on Arlington Memorial bridge with my tripod pointed southeast, I recorded the path of the flares released at 9:17 pm on my mirrorless camera: 24-105 at f/22 2.5 seconds.
When exploring the details of the image I found 3 angels and a demon composed of multiple 6's. Towards the top left corner, there is a bird-like creature flying downwards away from the demon.
