Pictograph talismans are perhaps the most ubiquitous devices that we have uncovered during our excavations. Carbon dating of these talismans paints a peculiar picture; technologies re-invented to become smaller, lighter, and more accommodating to the hand. Clearly, our past depended on movement, just as our existence does now. Migration is a vital part of terrestrial life, and the history of our tools reflects the value we place upon travel.
