Great Ape - the Wild Rock Ape - Bert the Monkey

Bert is wild rather a special character. For a start he comes from high up on a cliff- the Rock of Gibraltar to be precise. He is considered a rock ape as he is a tailless species though classified as a monkey. Bert comes in a few different colors..this one- blue violet, black and white, pink red, and orange yellow, and green orange. You can collect all 5. I have one hanging on my wall in large format. Fabulous.Originally Morocco, Bert- a Barbary macaque, is part of the only wild ape, wild monkey population on the European continent Barbary macaque population in Gibraltar is the only wild monkey population on the European continent. I photographed Bert in the wild as I was walking around high in the Rock Of Gibraltar. I arrived by sailing vessel. This was 2019 before the pandemic. I love animals in the wild. Viewing pictures of wild life can teach us so much of the world around us. We must preserve earth! Enjoy wild Bert.
