Data Landscape: Burning House

My 18th glitch object and my first datamosh video uploaded in the digital space.

This work started out as a panoramic photograph glitch of a found film, specifically an old Coronet film about living the American Dream dated in the 40s/50s. I processed it as a cinemagraph in order to make it into a moving object as part of a net art exhibition and eventually a projection however, the pandemic lockdown hit and caused complications on the exhibit. I would eventually lose this file only to discover it once again last August.

Today, I reworked the video and moshed it using avidemux as a way of "burning" the old.

The title was inspired by Willy Ninja from Paris is Burning, where he mentions that the future he sees is a burning house.
