Two Gardens Done on the iPad using ArtSet and Paper by Fiftythree 5400x7200 This was my submission for the 2017 Create-A-Thon at Camelback Bible Church in Paradise Valley, AZ. Local artists would arrive the last Friday night of February. The artists were giving a theme and had 48 hours to complete their work. Each year, I would create my art on the iPad connected to a large LCD display. At the Opening Reception on Sunday, the artists presented their work to a panel of judges. The winners were announced the following Sunday.
The theme of this Create A Thon was the two gardens in the Bible; Eden and Gethsemane. When we read the Bible, we see Jesus woven into both the Old and New Testament. Jesus is eternal, he was in the beginning at creation and in the garden of Eden, shown in the upper half by the Tree of Life. In the lower half we see the roots woven to become the twisted trunks from Gethsemane. A vision of pain and agony to come but also the hope in the sacrifice Jesus made for us.
