Light of a New Day by LIBESKIND ARTS

Sometimes the path is dark, sometimes the way forward is through a maze full of hidden reefs. But even to the darkest depths comes a ray of light: the hope for a new day full of joy and laughter.

Join us in our celebration of a new day, in this collaboration between LIBESKIND ARTS, Maryanne Chisholm and Peter Salomonsen.

The animation overlays Maryanne's original paintings with textures of tree bark, fish scales, crystal structures, and other patterns from the natural world. Float through the image in a journey of transformation into the invisible.

The instruments used in this musical score composed by Peter Salomonsen are fully synthesized (no live instrument recordings were used). This technique, "WaveGuide" synthesis, is a method of physically modeling sounds. These sounds were implemented in the synthesizers of the "WebAssembly Music" project, which is another one of Peter's creations.
