In the Similan Islands, Thailand, I dove the Koh Bon West Ridge back in 2018. I was fascinated with the starfish there as they were unlike those I'd seen in North America previously, with the nubbly upper crust. These were so supple, they appeared almost like jello in their state of relaxation. Most of them appeared to simply have flopped themselves down for a rest! But the currents were very strong that day in that area, and if they weren't lying on the floor of the ocean, they needed to be hodling! My max depth of that dive was 86 ft, and I believe these two were roughly between 60-70ft. With the explosion of colour of the coral surrounding them, they make a beautiful pair!
