Glistening Blue

The Colorado mountains are a sight to see, but its the spots like this that can truly take your breath away. As you approach the shore on this hike within the San Juan Mountain Range, it becomes clear that the up hill miles were well worth the effort. I'm sure plenty of travelers choose the lake as their point to turn around. They are missing out, because it's from high above where this sight becomes unbelievable. The abundance of glacial basin minerals in the water combined with the sunlight display an overwhelmingly vibrant blue. I'll never forget the first peak I had of this lake from above.
