The Asylum

Western State Hospital in Staunton, Virginia, USA, was abandoned in 2002, this staircase stood decaying smothered in dust for almost 2 decades.

Recently developers opened a 49 room hotel in the former asylums place, the staircase remains, but not in the same way. The dust is swept away, but the dark memories of the asylum will always remain beneath the newly white walls.
