Abstract Landscapes: The Receding Glacier | Abstract Landscapes #4

This photo is the fourth edition of my Abstract Landscapes series, which depicts abstract scenes from some of the most beautiful locations in America. This comes from a desire to spread awareness of the environmental impacts humans have on the natural landscape and hopefully spark interest and enthusiasm to protect these places.

This is a photo of one of the last remaining glaciers in Glacer National Park. There are 37 named glaciers in the vast park and this one sits directly behind "Going To The Sun Mountain". Experts say by 2050 almost all of the glaciers in the National Park will be gone.
