Part of Collection "Stop Being Sad" / experience of my depressive episode
What was my anxiety like? We all anyway are worried when we feel that something might go wrong. But if you have an anxiety disorder, your worries can reach disaster proportions. Here are some examples from my experience. I have a vivid memory about one morning, when I woke up, the very first thought was — "how I would have felt if I had been a victim of the plane crash". I was completely immersed in blind panic and blue fear, and everything looked real. There were other episodes — I could stand and wait for the elevator and be scared as hell because of the sound of opening doors. Moreover, I had lots of dreadful thoughts, as for instance, at any time I was expecting the really bad news whether something happened to my family or my house burnt down and so on.. And I couldn't get rid of them, they were appearing one after another and endlessly spinning in my head. I felt so exhausted in those days.
