I'm a Glass Half Full...

"I'm a Glass Half Full Waiting to Fall off the Edge of a Table"

Having sketched this idea at least a year ago, I finally stumbled upon this artwork a few days ago. I thought it would be fun to turn the sketch into a procreate artwork, and it was! My meaning behind this artwork can be found when interpreting the title. Personally, even though I am optimistic, I can be realistic as well. Sometimes I can let pessimism cloud my thinking too. I love the irony of the title. "A glass half full" really means you perceive life in a positive manner, rather than a negative one. Glass falling off of a table is not the most positive action in the world, due to shattered glass being hazardous. Overall, i wanted this artwork to represent my fluctuating way of life. My one takeaway for whomever may be reading this, is to be at peace with knowing that a positive attitude cannot stop bad things that are not in your control from happening.
