EDWARD SNOWDEN - The King of IT

Edward Snowden is a US citizen, former Intelligence Community officer, & a whistleblower. The documents he revealed provided a vital public window into the NSA & its international intelligence partner's secret mass surveillance programs. These revelations generated unprecedented attention around the world on privacy intrusions & digital security, leading to a global debate.

Snowden worked in various roles within the US Intelligence Community, including serving undercover for the CIA overseas. In Hongkong(May 2013), he revealed documents to the American public on the NSA’s mass surveillance programs, which were shown to be operating without any public oversight & outside the limits of the US Constitution. The US government has charged Snowden with theft of government property, & 2 further charges under the 1917 Espionage Act.

With the US pursuing his extradition, & after years of legal battle, Russian granted PR for Snowden in October 2020.
