Bernie & Me

This is the third and final piece in this series of animations reflecting on being a child, innocence & imagination as an escape. Here Funboy is playing with Bernie who is a hybrid of Bert & Ernie from Sesame Street. Sesame Street was a huge influence in my life as a child from Argentina moving to NY. It taught me English and prepared me for kindergarten. From a deeper perspective the show was the spark that kindled my imagination and inspired me to become a creator and artist. Although the three pieces seem complex in their detail and animation they also have a simplicity in their overall composition with simple shapes ie; a circle, square, and triangle that keeps the pieces child-like and rudimentary.
