“-ness” definition: state of being acrylic on canvas 14” x 14”
the poem that accompanies this piece:
underwater where thoughts can breathe.
the state of my being is the seed of my creation, which was spat into the ocean by a bird above the gnaw.
ever since that day i've felt like i'm underwater holding on to my last breath. thinking what life is like, or if there is life, after death. the beauteous stretch of darkness abyss grows nearer, and now, further, the light from the surface begins. it hits the beautiful reds of the coral and the greens of the weed, the sea welcomes me with a gorgeous display to trick me into its swallowing cave of dark and despair. i suppose to the theft of my life, "could i have went in a less beautiful way?" disposed of, disheveled, of which i'm obsessed. ever since that day i've had an infatuation for death. the will of the ocean's never ending depth draws love in the sand with the devil's romance, for death will never plead forever a second chance.
