The Blood Moon

January 20, 2019, Total Lunar Eclipse (Blood Moon)

I wasn't planning on shooting due to poor weather so instead I went to a friend's house to watch the NFL playoffs. Physically I was there with my friends but the entire time in my mind, I was somewhere else. Every few minutes I'd look outside to see if the clouds had broken. All night the sky was dark with little visibility. The game had ended and as I was walking out I caught a glimpse of the sky, finally, the clouds were breaking and for a moment I got to witness the most vivid moon I'd ever seen. I ran to my Jeep and grabbed my camera and caught one of my favorite photos to date.
