In my years of self-portraiture, I have manually indoctrinated my mind to separate "soul" and "vessel." My physical form serves as a mere container for a brain that only knows how to conversate visually. Thoughts do not escape my lips, but rather, imprint themselves onto paper and canvas and LCD screens. This practice being my favored form of speech has always made me the odd one out. I have ascertained that my work feels like "me" - not because I capture images of myself - but because I have always aimed to implement a fraction of my soul into every piece. Art is all I have ever known, and this is representative of that.
