Old cabins in the valleys of East Tennessee are usually pretty crowded in the fall. It always seems like a paradox to me. They silently sit alone to stand the test of time while tourists meander around them. I was pleased on this specific morning to find myself as the only person there. The trees in the area were at peak foliage displaying colors of yellow and orange. I've never since seen fall colors like I saw that morning. Sometimes I just return to this photo to drink in the solitude I felt.
