This work is inspired by a 1931 piece by the Romanian painter Nicolae Tonitza. This is part of a long standing theme of mine that involves the dialogue with my own inner child. A person that I find most of the time quite rudely demanding yet unfocused and prone to escapism. This is why the act itself of reinterpreting the original painting, that was a real dream of innocence and candour, was extremely appealing to me. I applied on it the filter of modern life with a hue of accelerated thinking syndrome.
