Solar Receiver

These structures were built around the globe to receive massive amounts of solar energy beamed down from the orbital Solar Flower satellite network above. With light and microwave beams strong enough to part cloud cover, the global network of receivers guarantees un-interrupted energy flow. In early implementations such as these, redundant marine oil rigs were repurposed to support the large dishes and panel arrays.
