The Mountain Goat is a local resident of Mount Timpanogos. While the steep, shale-ridden ascent may prove difficult to the common valley dweller, these slopes and cliffs are as simple as sidewalks to a goat. With incredibly tired legs, I stumbled down the switchbacks only to come across a family of these creatures enjoying the fresh lupine. The leader of the herd stood his ground as I neared them. From a distance, I watched as he posed, almost too perfectly, at the intersection of the blue and green mountain layers in the distance. Composition is only so easy when working with wild animals. Graced by their presence, I left them to enjoy their slopeside flower garden.
