Ships Out

September 30, 2019.

A day I clearly recall. A short while before we knew a pandemic would hit and change the world forever. I remember feeling drained, it was another year coming to an end with my major goal (for the year) already a near miss. I picked up my camera, took a walk across the city and found a bridge which had a harbor underneath with lots of ships preparing to sail. I felt a sense of calmness in that moment as the sea breeze hit my face, the atmosphere was so serene and in that time my worries seemed to have evaporated.

Several photographs were made on the day, but this is one of my favourites.
