It's November. While enjoying my coffee, I look out the window. In the distance I notice a fog slowly pouring in between the buildings. "Maybe this time?" I think. I check the weather map, the same fragment of which I have been checking fruitlessly many times over the last year. This time, however, I see an opportunity. I quickly finish my coffee, in the meantime checking if I have all the necessary equipment in my bag. I dress warmly and run to my car. Sunset will be in 2 hours.
I walk along the muddy path leading deep into the forest, after a while I pass a tree recently broken by a windstorm, I am close to my destination. The quiet forest seems to be watching me. The atmosphere thickens every minute.
I'm finally here. I admire the old tall pines whose crowns are lost in the fog. As I look back at the tree trunks, I freeze in motion. A shadow emerges from behind one of the trees, a silhouette that looks human, maybe 20 yards away. At the click of the shutter the shadow disappears.
