I sat in silence and asked myself
who am I?
I have a name but I am not my name I have a body but I am not my body I have relationships but I am not those relationships I have clear memories of the past, but I am not those memories I have convincing dreams and aspirations for the future, but I am not those thoughts. I feel joy and sorrow, excitement and fear, love and anger but I am not these feelings When all the things I think I am, are gone, What is left?
As I let go of identity with the body, thoughts and feelings, as pure consciousness itself, What remains is as wide and pure as the sky.
