The Tunnel Journey

Multi-media painting weaved with rare 1950s 8mm footage of urban landscape filmed in Havana, Cuba. Artist note: The Tunnel Journey is a metaphor for venturing into uncertainty and overcoming obstacles. In this work, I explore memory and abstraction by documenting cultural heritage to recall identity, emotionality and collective memory. This work is part of my Generations Series, which seeks to provide a metaphor of hope by handing down these collective memories to the next generations.
