A Paean to Paeonia

Peek within the ruffled folds of the dramatic and exquisite ‘Souvenir de Maxime Cornu’ - a tree peony with big, dusky apricot petals edged in pink, with the sweetest fragrance - and you might be lucky to find this inside. With an added sprinkling of dew-drops, a unique and otherworld/inner-world image of a favourite summertime bloom has been created. In lockdown, filling vases with flowers after daily walks gave hope of better times.
