Asebu Amanfi

Asebu was a giant with unusual physical appearance who possessed supernatural powers. On his face is Bwaka Mask and a Baule Mask on his right and a Bedu mask on his left. His cloth is a Bogolan with motifs from Dogon people. His spear is a gift from a Massai warrior and his footwear is called Ahenema meaning Kings child in Twi. Travelling, he drew power from everywhere on Arkebulan (Africa) soil. This piece evokes power to remind his descendants to unify themselves for a common goal and success.
