This is a 180-degree, panoramic photo of the Milky Way looking south/southeast at Mount Rainier (and the beyond). The photo was captured on a rather freezing night. The foreground and mountain were captured just after blue hour (11-minute exposure, low ISO) (about 1.5 hrs after the sun was fully set). Then I waited and shivered for several hours with the camera in the same spot to capture the Milky Way after it had risen further into the sky. Quite the view. Quite the experience.
