Pink Rocks

Pink Rocks is one of the must-see places with its interesting geological structure. In addition to the presence of prehistoric finds, it has been used as a quarry since Antiquity.

Pink rocks, which are soft in water, become hard after they are removed. Due to these features, they were cut into rectangles during the Ottoman Period and transported to Istanbul by sea and used in architecture.
