Lungs of the World

This piece represents East Borneo (Kalimantan) with it's rich with natural resources and culture. These cultures come from their Dayak indigenous people's ethnics such as Gong Dance, traditional house and batik.

The Hornbills are highly regarded and protected animal in Indonesia's Culture. Dayak people believe that Hornbills symbolize purity and strength. We need to preserve these cultures and natural richness as Borneo has a very important role as the world's lungs.
